The CHL has passed our trophy onto a new champion.
The Rangers had a nail bitter of a game against the Bruins Sunday night. The game was fast, up and down the ice all night with only a few whistles during play.
Both Jim Stone for the Bruins and Joe Burke for the Rangers were key factors in net as they each came up with big saves at crucial points of the game. In the end, the Rangers’ Lou Sideropoulous was able to net a pair of goals that would earn them the championship.

Bob Sideropoulos takes a shot on Jim Stone
Bob Sideropoulos put the Rangers out front scoring the first goal. The Bruins climbed back into the game with Mike Fay sending Adam Levesque wheeling around in the offensive zone to slip a backhander in. Just a few minutes later John Sances of the Rangers ripped in a goal from the slot to take a 2-1 lead. Pat Sherry scored on a pass from John Zimmer, but Joe Burke made some huge saves, and then got the help he needed from the Ranger offense. In the end Lou Sideropoulos netted two more goals for the Rangers combining for 3 goals with his brother to lead the Rangers to victory.
To the amazement of all onlookers Dave Petty actually passed the puck and may have even gotten an assist out of his efforts (*assist not confirmed ).
I hope everyone enjoys a nice, long summer, and will be returning in the Fall.
